The Sacred Yes (and the sacred no)
Gate 27 – The Gate of Caring
This week, the Sun transits through Gate 27, and it invites you to get radically honest about why you pour your caring energy in to the people and projects you do.
This energy asks you to consider, where are you saying yes out of habit, not alignment?
There’s an instinctual urge inside you, to nurture.
To be the one who shows up. The one who cares for and holds it all.
And that urge is sacred — when it comes from alignment.
But when it comes from conditioning, it’s not sustainable.
Gate 27 teaches you that care can either deplete you or restore you, depending on its source.
Conditioned Care vs. Instinctual Care
Conditioned care is care that comes from guilt, fear, obligation, or the desire to be seen as “good.”
It often overrides your body’s truth — and leaves you feeling resentful or drained.
Instinctual care rises from clarity.
It comes from presence, not pressure.
It’s alive, generous, and sustaining — for you and those you care for.
Words on Caring, from a place of Alignment—For Each Type
Generator
You’re a natural nurturer when your energy is used in aligned ways.
This week, slow down enough to feel what is true.
Saying yes out of habit blocks the life force you’re here to generate.
Let your body’s response guide what you tend to.
Projector
You may feel the needs of others before they even ask — but that doesn’t mean their needs are yours to tend to.
This week, check in before jumping in.
Care is most impactful when it’s invited and resourced.
Let your deep truth lead, not your conditioning.
Reflector
This week, ask:
What spaces, routines, and relationships are actually nourishing you?
You don’t need to adjust yourself to fit the world.
Instead, adjust your world to fit the care you need to receive. What you receive, flows through you to benefit all.
Manifestor
You’re not here to endlessly respond to the needs around you — you’re here to be in touch with your truth.
It’s only from your own truth that you can create authentically.
This week, protect your energy by offering your care to only what matters most.
Say no to what distracts you, so your “yes” can be resourced by your attention and intention.
Manifesting Generator
Your energy moves fast — but your own nourishment needs don’t disappear just because you can handle a lot.
This week, pause long enough to notice what no longer feels alive.
Don’t care for something just because you started it.
Let what’s real for you now guide what you projects and people receive your care.
This Week’s Flow Field Notes
Something I’m Practicing -
My littles (Leo, age 8 & Rocco, age 6) are on a 2-week spring break from school. My husband is on a long trip. Like every mother, I love these boys with every cell in my body AND ALSO… My little loves fight—like a lot. Though we are working on it.
Always working on it 😉.
When I need to calm my nervous system quickly (as in, when I am about to lose my cool)… I step out of the room and do this.
📖 What I’m Reading
I have a stack of books on my nightstand, that I like to rotate. The top of my current stack is, The Exquisite Risk, by Mark Nepo. This is one of my all time favorite books. In his poetic way he writes on “daring to live an authentic life”, one of the topics I am most passionate about.
Here’s one of my many, many underlined paragraphs.
“The exquisite risk is a doorway that lets us experience the exraordinary in the ordinary. It is always near. Truth opens it. Love opens it. Humility opens it. And if stubborn, pain will intensify to open it. Sadness can open it, if felt to its center. Silence and time open it, if we enter them and don;t just watch them.”
